Adult Acting with Stage 13
New Students
This acting class is designed to introduce students to a more modern, instinctive approach to acting. Long-time actors and newcomers will all benefit from this introductory class to get a feel for this way of working, finding ways to move beyond overthinking and connect directly with their impulses. Through a blend of improvisation, physical theatre, vocal work, and scene study, participants will learn to trust their instincts and make bold, authentic choices with little preparation. We will work with scripts in hand, minimizing outside memorization and rehearsal while strengthening cold-reading skills and breaking unhelpful habits that can come from over-preparing. This process opens the door to deeper creativity and freedom on stage, fostering growth not only as an actor but also as a person. By embracing spontaneity, presence, and self-expression, students will discover powerful new tools to bring to both performance and life. NOTE: There will be several 5-week sessions throughout 2026, which will be filled via the waitlist. If you would like to be added, sign up below and you’ll be notified as soon as a spot is available!
Dates: Multiple 5-week Sessions
Day/Time: Sundays 6:00pm – 9:00pm

Returning Students
This class is only available to students who have taken the introductory class. Expanding on those core techniques, this next-level acting class pushes performers to move beyond the head and deeper into impulse-driven work. With an emphasis on improvisation, physical theatre, vocal training, and advanced scene study, actors will refine their ability to make spontaneous, authentic choices with little preparation. Classes will continue to focus on script-in-hand work, limiting outside memorization while enhancing cold-reading skills and breaking the cycle of over-rehearsal. Students will be encouraged to take bigger risks, trust their instincts, and embrace vulnerability—unlocking powerful discoveries that lead to both artistic growth and personal transformation through radical authenticity and self-expression. NOTE: This class is ongoing all throughout 2026 and will be filled via the waitlist. If you would like to be added, sign up below and you’ll be notified as soon as a spot is available!
