Tiny Stars: Acting & Storytelling | Grades K – 2

Let your imagination take the stage! In this exciting class, young performers will learn how to use their voices, bodies, and imaginations to bring stories to life! Students will learn the basics of performing and build confidence on stage by exploring acting through playful activities, creative movement through fun games, and be introduced to beginner level choreography that all culminates in a relaxed showcase for family members and friends to celebrate what we’ve discovered together!

Introduction to Musical Theatre | Grades 1 – 3

This fun and energetic class is perfect for young performers excited to step into the world of musical theatre! Students will explore the foundations of singing, dancing, and acting while discovering how to tell a story through music and movement. From learning catchy songs and playful choreography to experimenting with character work, the class encourages creativity, teamwork, and confidence. Along the way, students will practice age-appropriate musical theatre pieces, building vocal technique, rhythm, and pitch, while also learning lively dance combinations that strengthen coordination and musicality. The session will culminate in an informal showcase for family and friends, where students can shine on stage and share the skills they’ve developed. With new material each semester, this class should and can be taken multiple times!

Musical Theatre | Grades 3 – 5

Take center stage in this exciting class designed for budding performers in grades 3–5! Students will explore the essential elements of musical theatre; singing, dancing, and acting, while learning how to collaborate and bring stories to life on stage. Through vocal warm-ups, choreography, and character work, students will build confidence, creativity, and teamwork as they discover the joy of performance. Along the way, they’ll dive into beloved Broadway numbers, practice expressing emotions through both music and movement, and strengthen the core skills needed for a polished performance. Each student will have opportunities to shine through ensemble pieces, small group work, solos, and acting scenes, all in a positive and supportive environment. The semester will wrap up with a mini-musical showcase for family and friends, where students can share their hard work and growth. With fresh new material each semester, this class offers a new adventure every time, making it perfect to take again and again!

It’s time to take your acting skills to the next level! In this 12-week class, students will dig deeper into character work, scene study, and ensemble performance; all while building confidence and creativity. Through improv games, partner scenes, and storytelling exercises, young actors will learn how to make strong choices, connect with their scene partners, and bring authentic emotion to the stage. Whether you’re new to acting or ready to level up, this class will help you shine in the spotlight!

Young Performers Studio| Intermediate Musical Theatre – Recommended for Grades 5th-8th

Take your musical theatre training to the next level in this performance-focused class designed for young actors who are ready to grow as singers, actors, and storytellers. Throughout the semester, students will be cast in and rehearse Stage 13’s production of A Charlie Brown Christmas, developing their skills through scene work, character exploration, ensemble performance, vocal technique, and storytelling.

In addition to production rehearsals, students will participate in focused musical theatre training designed to strengthen their acting and audition skills. Classes will explore scene study, duet and ensemble work, character development, song interpretation, cold readings, and audition techniques. Students will also begin building the foundational skills needed for future opportunities within Stage 13’s company programs, gaining valuable experience in performance preparation, professionalism, and artistic growth.

Whether you’re looking to gain more stage experience, strengthen your audition skills, or take the next step in your musical theatre journey, this class offers a supportive and challenging environment where young performers can build confidence, artistry, and stage presence.

Please note: Enrollment in this class includes casting in Stage 13’s production of A Charlie Brown Christmas. This class meets twice per week.

Designed for performers who want to strengthen both their vocal technique and audition skills, this class provides focused training to help students stand out in the audition room and on stage. Through individualized vocal coaching, song interpretation, audition preparation, and performance practice, students will build confidence, expand their repertoire, and develop the tools needed for successful musical theatre auditions. Whether preparing for an upcoming production or looking to grow as a performer, students will leave each class with practical skills they can immediately apply. Acting for Stage & Screen | Grades 9th–12th

Ready to become a more versatile performer? This twice-weekly acting class gives high school actors the opportunity to train in both live theatre and on-camera performance, developing the skills needed to succeed in any acting environment.

Mondays: Acting for Stage with Director Justin Pike

Students will focus on the techniques required for theatrical performance, including voice and diction, physical storytelling, character development, scene study, script analysis, and stage presence. Actors will learn how to make bold choices, connect with scene partners, and bring stories to life for a live audience.

Wednesdays: Acting for Screen with Casting Director & Tv/Film Actor Warren McCullough

Students will explore the unique demands of film and television acting, including on-camera technique, audition skills, continuity, subtle emotional work, framing, and acting for close-ups. Through recorded exercises and scene work, actors will learn how to create authentic performances that translate effectively on screen.

Throughout the year, students will build confidence, strengthen their acting toolkit, and gain experience adapting their performances to different mediums. This class is ideal for dedicated actors looking to deepen their craft, prepare for auditions, and develop the flexibility needed in today’s performing arts industry.

This class blends classic jazz technique, sharp performance movement, and pro-cheer-inspired choreography to create a fun, empowering experience for adult women. Whether you used to dance and miss it, or you’ve always wanted to try but needed the confidence, this is your space. Designed for beginner to intermediate dancers, each class focuses on:
