Audition Date: Sunday, August 16th, from 12-4PM

Role: Female – Age range 30-50’s, All ethnicities

*This role is open to actors of any gender identity, expression, or background.*

Video submissions welcome, no callbacks with this audition process, 11 performances from December 11th – 27th, 2026.

The story follows a middle-aged Cindy Lou Who living in a beaten-down, double-wide trailer in the snowy hills of Mount Crumpit. As she prepares to host a Christmas Eve party for her friends, she recounts—in Seussian rhyming verse and often while drinking or smoking—the twisted turn her life has taken. She looks back at that fateful night she first met the Grinch, detailing 40 years of wild misadventures, scandal, and unexpected heart.

It’s 1985, and rock star wannabe, Robbie Hart, is New Jersey’s favorite wedding singer. He’s the life of the party until his own fiancée leaves him at the altar. Shot through the heart, Robbie makes every wedding as disastrous as his own. Enter Julia, a winsome waitress who wins his affection. As luck would have it, Julia is about to be married to a Wall Street shark, and, unless Robbie can pull off the performance of a decade, the girl of his dreams will be gone forever.

A paper copy of your music (for musical auditions), and a good attitude!

Clothes you are comfortable moving in! Depending on the show, you might want to bring character shoes.

Either taped cardstock, or three hole punched, double-sided and in a binder.

A standard audition cut is 16-32 bars, which roughly translates to 30 seconds – 1 minute.

This can vary from show to show! You are usually dismissed after you finish your time slot, but sometimes there could be a dance call or other reason you’d be asked to stick around for a bit.

A callback is the second round of auditions in which the creative team has people dance, sing, and read from the show. After they have seen what they need at callbacks, they will develop the cast list!

In the performance world, people hear “no” more frequently than they hear “yes.” Introducing yourself to the creative team is valuable, and will open doors for you down the road even if you aren’t cast in the show you auditioned for.
